As we gather to celebrate the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami from today 10th, till the 16th of August, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all Hindus in Fiji and around the world.

We will gather to celebrate the nights of cultural events, which include teaching the values of Lord Krishna, prayer sessions, engaging in kirtan, bhajan, and dance. I urge all Mandalis and leaders to use this occasion as a platform to educate and create awareness about respecting other religions and the places of worship. I urge the leaders to pray for peace amongst our communities and spread the word of love between our diverse communities.

I once again urge everyone to use this platform to create awareness to educate, and enlighten our youths and communities about the dangers of drug use and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.

By integrating these lessons into our discussions and activities, we can inspire positive change, foster a safer and more supportive community.

Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed and meaningful Krishna Janmashtami.
